So I finally got all the photos together, gathered (with the kind help of my Russian fans and friends on vKontakte.ru) from lots of gallery websites, all Russian ones I find impossible to translate

As you can see it was an amazing show, ROASTING in there, so much so they got me 2 huge fans which worked a treat – except they blew my CDs about Had no time to hang around afterwards either, there’s only one flight a day out of Nizhny Novgorod on a decent airline (i.e not a scarey Russian one!) at about 5 am – so I had to literally jet right out of there as soon as my set was done – straight to the airport, with all my makeup on and rave-dirt etc! Got a few funnny looks at Passport control but managed to totally sort myself out and get changed in the wierd little airport bathroom before the flight took off. I think I was only on the ground for about 4 hours from the point of landing in Russia to taking off again – that’s a proper rave-commute

The guys at nitebeat.de and subculture.de sent over some galleries of photos from my gig over in Freiburg, Germany a couple of weeks back, at 18 months club, with MC Fava – man with the deepest voice in Germany! Had a really fun gig, nice and busy, and well up for it crowd.

Had the world’s greatest Club Sandwich in the hotel first actually – worthy of a picture:

And then Rrrrrrrrrinsed it out! (Note my shirt totally soaked and stuck to my back later on. Was HOT in there! Got a late checkout the next day and had some proper rest, seriously good to be able to catch up some sleep like that sometimes! The hotel people were lovely and made me a FABULOUS espresso the next day, flight was on time, and came home to my fabulous girlfriend and PIZZA. Yay!

Many thanks to Lukas Verdijk for sending over the photos from my gig over in Holland a couple of weeks ago, and big up to DJ Tyson for hooking up the event and getting the audio recording and these pics over so quickly – check out my podcast for the recording of my set!

The club was a bit smaller than I’m used to playing lately, but the vibe was excellent, really REALLY good sound & lighting, and literally everyone in there was going nuts – ended up with loads of randoms up on the stage jiggling about Flew over from London to Dusseldorf then a quick drive over to Arnhem with Shimon, who was also playing – good to catch up with mr AudioPorn and check out what he’s playing too. So yeah, great gig – looking forward to going back sometime!

Loads of live footage from his set in the main arena, then the VIP Deluxe arena for his 2nd set. Crazy performances from acrobats and performance artists & sexydancers on-stage. And some bonus footage from the artists’ area backstage, and pretty scary video of stilt walkers falling over! (We hope they’re ok!)

Think I’ve just about managed to round up all the photos that could be found in the internet from this event

Last Saturday I played in Moscow, for the Pirate Station guys again, HUGE party in a big Expo Hall in the middle of Moscow. Someone told me it was the biggest Expo complex in Europe. I believe them! Hungary was the day before, and I went straight form the gig to the airport in Budapest, didn’t get to sleep till about 3pm when I made it to the hotel in Moscow. Woke up to the surreal rumble of the sound system warming up (hotel was in the same complex) and the first of many super-theatrical intros they do, really got me tingling! I’d watched Hellboy 2 earlier in the week, with the ‘Golden Army’ and man, it sounded like there were a gazillion golden army robo-goblins waking up and crashing about. Too much for my jetlagged & frazzled brain! Heheh!

So yeah, an amazing gig, I got to the stage nice and early so I could hang out with the other DJs and hear what was being played, and just take in the vibes – really good time. So yeah, thanks to all the organizers & to all my Russian fans that stayed right till the end to see me play at 5am! It really was special

Thanks to all the folks that sent us links to the galleries from all the photos that were taken at the gig on Friday! John B played at Kinka Mozi, in a city called Debrecen which is about 3 hours drive East from Budapest and absolutely smashed the place with a killer 2 hour set of his brand of ElectroRobotic Drum&Bass & a bit of ElectroTechnoPunk to a packed out club of about 1000 people. Super hot in there!

We’ve got some cool video to come later too and will be posted in all the usual places and johnbtv.com.
