Tracks: Nail In The Coffin / Drinks Up Hands Up
Label: Beta Recordings
Release Date: 4 April (Beatport) 2 May (Vinyl)
Terravita are BACK with a huge follow up to their last smash on John Bâs Beta Recordings label âUp In The Clubâ. The last release dominated Dubstep & DnB charts alike with its prototype drumstep sound, and now they return and take things up a notch…
At the forefront of the genre one again, Terravita ânailâ it with the awesome âNail in the Coffinâ. Everything is leads up to the monumental bass drop, distinctive vocals from Matt of Terravita, and rising synths draw you in, and then the whole world collapses as the monster bass shakes the walls down. Truly a drumstep classic in the making.
âDrinks Up Hands Upâ is more of a DnB party anthem: combine the drunken debauchery of Hot Pink Deloreanâs Live shows – drink-spraying, crowd surfing, boobie flashing, with a bouncy D&B beat, fun optimistic bass and catchy vocal and youâre halfway there. DnB that doesnât take itself too seriously, but damn well knows how to party…
Big tunes, both of these. Ignore at your peril.

John Bâs Beta Recordings label makes a welcome return with a new single from Terravita. Made up of Chris Barlow, Matt Simmers and Jon Spero, theyâre putting their electro powerhouse alterego Hot Pink Delorean to the side for just a second for their debut release on Beta, “Lockdown” and “Up in the Club”.
The single is best described as âDrumstepâ, a sub genre the Boston boys have been a part of from day one. Pioneers in the field, âDrumstepâ is proving to be one of the most popular rising genres to date.
Terravita were first recognised in 2006 by Maldini & Vegas (Bad Company) with 4 tracks featued on the Bad Taste 2 LP. Following 4 singles on Technique Recordings, including “Adult Robot Kung Fu”, Terravita have released music with Subsonik Sound as well as a remix of AK1200′s rave anthem “Drowningâ that hit #4 on the Beatport Charts.
With huge support already from heavy hitters like Rusko, Dieselboy, John B and Evol Intent we can be certain that the massive single ââLockdownââ is in set for big things this Autumn. âLockdownâ kicks off by sending a shiver down your spine with its thrilling piano intro, building vehemence before dropping into a snarling, furious bassline. Following the pattern of intense intros that leave you shaking in your raving boots is ââUp in the Clubââ. Its dark, mystic vibe draws you in before hitting you with a super-heavy drop.
