Set for release on <strong>May 15th, 2025<\/strong> via his own <strong>Beta Recordings<\/strong> imprint, John B\u2019s &#8220;Das Boot&#8221; transforms the iconic melody into a high-energy DNB anthem, designed to ignite dancefloors in 2025 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the success of recent singles including <strong>&#8220;Hypnotize&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Ventil-8&#8221;<\/strong> (released on the legendary <strong>Metalheadz<\/strong> label), John B continues his run of standout productions, blending cinematic influences with cutting-edge Drum &amp; Bass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Originally composed by Klaus Doldinger for the 1981 submarine thriller <em>Das Boot<\/em> \u2014 and later adapted into a Eurodance hit by <strong>U96<\/strong> in the 90s \u2014 <em>Das Boot<\/em> holds a special place in John\u2019s musical journey. Having first encountered the U96 version during a school exchange in Germany, John brings a lifetime of passion for &#8217;80s synths, soundtracks, and electronic innovation into this new DNB interpretation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Staying true to the spirit of the original, <strong>no samples were used<\/strong> \u2014 every element was <strong>painstakingly replayed and produced<\/strong>. John meticulously recreated the signature sounds with period-correct synth textures, including Emulator II-style strings and the classic Atari speech synthesizer for the iconic robotic voice snippets. The result is a <strong>tasteful and respectful homage<\/strong>, combining the uplifting synth line with <strong>staccato basslines, powerful two-step drums<\/strong>, and a fresh Drum &amp; Bass energy that perfectly bridges past and future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Das Boot&#8221;
